Establishing and promoting a blog
We were asked to set up a platform for the CEO of Corps Security to share expertise and encourage debate on the issues that affect the security industry. A suitable platform was identified, a site developed and the blog was given a dedicated URL to aid accessibility.
We researched links to place the CEO’s own posts in a wider context, and then promoted each of his posts by pointing media and other industry commentators to the blog, using social media to drive further traffic to the site.
The CEO did not want the blog to be a mouthpiece for the company alone, and this had the effect of making it more attractive to readers. Equally, the CEO wanted it to be a genuine platform for debate, so comments from readers were actively encouraged – even if they disagreed with points made. As a result, the blog has been a great success and generates many hundreds of page views every week.
