The Henley Group International is looking for a senior account manager to join the team working at its comfortable offices in the heart of Henley.

A PR and marketing professional, you will have solid agency experience, preferably with business-to-business organisations, as well as a comprehensive grounding in media relations and experience in content marketing and social media. It is also anticipated that you will possess an established network of media and related contacts.

This full-time position involves working in a small, successful team, supporting blue-chip B2B brands in a range of sectors, from biotech and pharmaceuticals to AI and security. The position would suit someone who is looking for the opportunity to further their career by joining a friendly but focused team, managing both existing clients and contributing to the acquisition of new business.

Key responsibilities

Reporting to an Account Director and the Managing Director you will:

  • Manage specific client campaigns, coordinating a team of writers and designers.
  • Implement client activity schedules and build client relationships.
  • Track the client’s key performance indicators and create client reports.
  • Maintain and nurture a network of media contacts including journalists, industry spokespersons and relevant influencers.
  • Contribute to pitching for new business and the development of proposals.

Your skills

  • Outstanding organisation with an ability to manage multiple projects and portfolios.
  • Exceptional communication skills – presentational, verbal and written.
  • Experience in managing client budgets.
  • A passion for the media, including digital and social media.
  • Close attention to detail.
  • Solid computer and project management skills.

Your qualifications

  • A graduate to at least B.A. level.
  • While not essential, PR and content marketing qualifications, PRCA, CIPR or CIM.

Your experience

  • Agency experience of managing primarily business to business (B2B) PR accounts.
  • Experience of managing integrated communication campaigns, including digital lead-generation activities
  • Evidence of copywriting, marketing and report writing, social media management, client liaison.
  • Strong communication with excellent presentational skills.
  • Industry knowledge and contacts would be beneficial.
