Wilson James
Telling the story of the NHS Nightingale Project
The Challenge
As one of the main logistics and security contractors for NHS Nightingale – the hospital that was developed within London’s ExCeL centre in less than two weeks for sufferers of the Corona Virus – Wilson James had a very strong story to tell about how its staff worked tirelessly to help bring this project to fruition. It was our job to tell that story.
The Approach
As soon as the embargo on press stories was lifted, we worked to produce a case study overnight – conducting four separate interviews with company directors, some of whom were still on site working at the time. The story was rushed through the approvals process in double-quick time, so 24 hours later we were ready to go to press.
The Result
The case study was despatched to healthcare, logistics and security media the following morning and within minutes we started to see online coverage for the story across all sectors. No less than 20 pieces of coverage were achieved within two days and three separate requests for media interviews were organised, with more coverage resulting.
As one of the Wilson James directors so eloquently put it: “We’ve all been pushed to the extreme but when the coronavirus pandemic is over, and it will be over at some point, the memory of what was achieved with NHS Nightingale will live on”.
