Tech circles have been buzzing this last week as journalists have flocked to test out the ChatGPT platform, which uses AI to answer any question you can put to it. Its answers may be a little thin, but it’s clear that its ability to put together compelling copy provides a glimpse of the future. Although, it may be one in which everyone from journalists to teachers and lawyers to marketers will need to return to providing real value if they are not to be replaced by a machine that can do the job just as well!

In the interest of testing the tool, we asked it to create a blog about how to successfully promote technology. Here is the result, which appeared in around 30 seconds. Is it okay? Sure. Is it a replacement for the type of well-researched, incisive and engaging blogs Henley clients expect? No, it is not. Worse, there’s a typo.

So, while we embrace tech in all its forms here at Henley, we remain proudly carbon-based and battery-free!

“Here are some tips for successfully promoting technology:

  1. Identify your target audience: Before you start promoting your technology, it’s important to understand who you are trying to reach. Consider factors like their age, interests, and needs, and tailor your messaging to appeal to them.
  2. Use clear and concise language: Avoid using technical jargon or buzzwords that your audience may not understand. Instead, use clear and concise language to explain how your technology works and the benefits it provides.
  3. Highlight the value of your technology: Make sure to clearly communicate the value that your technology provides to your target audience. This could be in the form of improved efficiency, cost savings, or enhanced convenience.
  4. Use visual aids: Visual aids like videos, infographics, and diagrams can be effective at helping people understand how your technology works and the benefits it offers.
  5. Leverage social media: Social media platforms can be a powerful tool for promoting technology. Consider creating social media accounts for your technology and sharing updates, case studies, and other relevant content.
  6. Partner with influencers: Partnering with influencers in your industry can be a effective way to promote your technology. Influencers have a large following and can help to spread the word about your technology to a wider audience.
  7. Offer demos and trials: Offering demos or trials of your technology can be a great way to get people interested and encourage them to try it out for themselves. This can help to build trust and credibility with your target audience.”
